Matt Damon is mistaken for BRAD PITT by FIFA commentator

Is that you, Brad Pitt?
A FIFA commentator hilariously mistook Matt Damon for none other than Brad Pitt at the 2026 World Cup.
As the camera panned by Damon, 55, who was standing in the stadium alongside his wife Luciana Barroso, the commentator erroneously identified the actor as Pitt, 62.
‘Brad Pitt also among the fans here,’ the commentator said before quickly correcting himself.
‘Oh it’s Matt Damon! That’s Matt Damon. There’s been a lot of glare on our monitors, too. Apologize to both,’ he said.
X users took delight in the hilarious snafu: ‘Guess [there] are worst guys to be mistaken for,’ one wrote.

Another referenced Damon’s new film, The Odyssey: ‘Glad to see Odysseus made it back to his wife in time for the World Cup final.’
‘Jimmy Kimmel has to be irate,’ another posted, referencing an on-going gag between Damon and Kimmel.

Damon was at the World Cup with his wife Luciana Barroso, who hails from Argentina and was decked out in blue and white.
Styling her soccer jersey in a way that showcased her abs, Luciana was Team Argentina in a blue bucket hat, white jeans, and scarf.
This year her home country will be taking on Spain in an epic closing game taking place in New Jersey.
Damon and Barroso met at a Miami bar in 2003 before marrying in December 2005. They share daughters Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15.
‘We have family dinner every night, and that’s non-negotiable, and it’s always been that way,’ the father of four recently told People.
Damon admitted that despite the practice, they sometimes struggle to stay present.

With his cool Hollywood shades, beard, and light brown hair, Damon inadvertently convinced the commentator that he was none other than Pitt
He pointed out, ‘One of my daughters said, “Well, family dinner, last night we didn’t talk.” And we realized, “Oh my gosh, you’re right.” We sat down for dinner, and you can get lost in that routine a little bit and not appreciate why you established the routine in the first place.’
‘That’s the kind of family mindfulness we’re all working on,’ he noted.
Two of their daughters have left home, with the younger two remaining.
‘I feel like we are facing it and embracing the fact that it’s happening,’ the Boston native said about becoming empty nesters in the near future.
‘We’ve been talking a lot about presence and about really trying to be in the moment, and because you can’t slow time down, the only way to really do it is to really be there and be in it.’
He added that he and his wife are ‘trying to be mindful of holding onto what we can.’
